HST(harmonized sales tax) rate is 15%. Rates are in Canadian dollars.
2 night minimum during peak season, unless only a single night is available. 3 night minimum on Holiday Weekends during peak season unless only fewer nights are available. For off-season we have a two-night minimum on all weekends and holidays, unless only a single night is available.

Reservations
To make a reservation or inquire about availability, please fill in the contact us form, email us, or phone us. We will attempt to contact all correspondence within 24-48 hours on a first come/first serve basis. Reservations are confirmed when we secure your dates and send you the Reservation Package.
Checking in with your keyless entry door code
Our keyless door lock requires a passcode. We have supplied you with a personalized code on this confirmation sheet. This will allow for you to walk right in and make yourself at home when you first arrive at The Old Salt Box Co without the need to obtain a key or to check in at the office. We do not have staff on site for check-in. Simply just punch in the numbers and use that code for your entire stay. The keyless entry codes are changed after every stay in order to ensure privacy, safety and convenience.
Payments for your visit
Deposit –We require a 25% deposit on all reservations with the credit card you have supplied at booking. For Peak Season reservations, this payment will be processed on the 1st day of the month, 3-5 months prior to your arrival. For Off-Season reservations, this payment will be processed 1 week before your arrival.
Balance – The final balance remaining for your stay will be processed sometime within 72 hours before the date-of-check-in. We will process your payment with the Visa/MasterCard that you supplied on the reservation request. Please let us know if your credit card information or expiry date changes. A valid credit card is required to secure the reservation and for any incidentals or damage. Guests must be 18 years of age to rent unless accompanied by an adult.
Cancellation policy
All 2023 reservations will be subject to a non-refundable 25% deposit.
Cancellations with less than 7 days (1 week) notice before date-of-check-in will be subject to a full charge.
Extended stays (7 days or more) in one home OR multiple homes rentals are subject to a full charge if canceled less than 14 days (2 weeks) before the date of check-in.
Changes to arrival and departures dates are considered canceled days and are subject to cancellation fees.
We understand that there may be circumstances that arise causing you to cancel. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can avoid any charges. All cancellations must be made in writing, and confirmed, via email
Due to changing travel recommendations and restrictions, we strongly recommend our guests consider travel insurance, through their credit card provider or an independent insurance provider.
Fees
-If canceled more than 7 days (1 week) prior to the date of check-in – 25% non-refundable deposit.
-If canceled less than 7 days (1 week) before the date of check-in – Full charge.
-Extended stays (7 or more days) and/or multiple home rentals- if canceled less than 2 weeks before the date of check-in – Full charge
-$30 administration charge on any refunded deposits.
Additional Charges
We have tried very hard to anticipate all your vacation needs to ensure your holiday is perfect at The Old Salt Box Co. Please note that, in an effort to protect the health and safety of our guests and staff, we expect our guests to treat our properties with care and consideration during their stay. Failure to do so may result in additional charges, at the discretion of The Old Salt Box Co.
Additional charges may be incurred for:
- Non-compliance of our no pet policy.
- Non-compliance of our no smoking policy.
- Excessive filth and/or damage to the property and its contents.
- Exceeding our guest capacity or hosting parties and/or large gatherings at any time.
- Failure to return major appliances and/or furniture to their original positions before check-out (inclusive of outdoor furniture).
- Non-compliance of our check-in (3 p.m.) and check-out (11 a.m.) times.
Payment Type – We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit-Visa or Email Transfers. We do not accept Debit, Cash or any other credit cards.
